What is SourceMagnet?

Overview of SourceMagnet: sourcing events, contracts, companies and projects - for buyers (procurement) and suppliers (bids, tenders).

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

SourceMagnet is a platform for sourcing, contract management, and supplier management. This article gives you an overview of what you can do in SourceMagnet as a buyer and as a supplier.

The main modules

The navigation in SourceMagnet shows the modules your organization has access to:

  • Sourcing — create sourcing events, invite suppliers, answer questions, evaluate bids, and award. Public-sector buyers also get regulated flows such as ESPD, publication to Doffin, award letters, and the procurement protocol. These are described in the collection For public-sector buyers.

  • Contracts — register and publish contracts, and manage documents, signing, key dates, reminders, tasks, and sharing.

  • Companies — search the company register and view supplier profiles with their contracts, sourcing events, and assessments.

  • Projects — group sourcing events and contracts that belong together.

For suppliers

As a supplier you respond to competitions instead of creating them. The Bids menu gives you Bid invitations and Delivered bids, and in the supplier portal you can find open competitions, ask the buyer questions, and deliver bids.

Where to start

Create an account and log in first. See the other articles in the Getting started collection. Buyers typically start by creating a sourcing event or a contract. Suppliers typically start by opening a bid invitation or an open competition.

ℹ️ Note: Which modules and menu items you see depends on your organization's subscription and your role.
