This article shows you as an employee how to report a need, and what happens to it afterwards.
Report the need
Select Needs in the menu, then select New need.
Fill in What does the procurement concern? and Description. Write what you need and why, not which supplier you have in mind.
Set the Estimated value. If you are unsure, guess a little high rather than low.
Choose Department and Contact person, so the buyer knows who to ask.
Select Report a need.
If you have quotes, drawings or anything else that explains the need, attach it with Upload documents.
💡 Tip: If your organization has AI access, you can use Autofill and Suggest type & priority with AI to get going faster. You can always change what is suggested.
What happens next
The need lands in the Inbox, where the people who work with procurement review it. If it is approved, it moves to Approved needs and can be turned into a procurement.
You find your own needs again under My needs, whatever stage they have reached.
ℹ️ Note: A need is not an order. It is a signal that something is required, and the buyer decides how to meet it. Sometimes there is already an agreement that covers what you need.
