This article shows you as a buyer how to ask suppliers to price a product list instead of just giving a total price.
Switch on products
On the first step, under What does this procurement ask for?, switch on Products. The wizard then gets its own step for the product list.
ℹ️ Note: Products suit you when you know what is being bought and want to compare line by line. If you want suppliers to propose a solution, it is better to describe the need in Description and let them price their own proposal.
Add the products
On the Products step you have four ways to enter data:
Click the field and paste a table straight from your spreadsheet.
Drag and drop a file.
Use browsing and selecting a file.
Enter them by hand with New product group.
If you already have the list in a spreadsheet, pasting is usually fastest. Groups make it easier for the supplier to find their way through a long list.
💡 Tip: Include unit and quantity per line. Without them suppliers price differently, and the bids become hard to compare.
