Projects: hold several procurements together

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

This article shows you as a buyer how to use projects to hold together everything that belongs to one initiative.

What a project is

A project is a frame around several procurements and contracts. A digitalisation programme running over several years may consist of ten procurements and as many contracts. The project is where they belong together.

Create a project

Go to Projects and choose New project. Give it a name and a period, and name who is Project responsible and Sourcing responsible. A project can also sit under another one, so a programme can be split into sub-projects.

Inside the project

The Details tab holds the description and the responsible people. Documents and Products gather what applies to the whole project, not just a single procurement.

The Sourcing Events and Contracts tabs show everything tied to the project. This is where you see status across them all, without digging into each one.

ℹ️ Note: Access to projects is granted separately. A user can be allowed to create projects without being allowed to create procurements, and the other way round.
