SourceMagnet is a solution where organizations run procurements and follow up the contracts afterwards. Buyers and suppliers work in the same solution, but see different views. Both public and private organizations use it.
Procurement
When your organization is going to buy something, you run the whole procurement in Sourcing: you create it, invite suppliers, receive and evaluate the bids and award. The sourcing event goes through the phases In progress, Invitations sent, Under evaluation, Award and Completed, and everything that belongs to it is kept together in the sourcing event. On the home page, Deadlines and Sourcing events by phase show what is urgent and how many sourcing events are in each phase. See "The procurement from draft to contract" and "The public procurement from draft to contract".
If you want to report what the organization needs before a procurement, you do it in Needs. Needs can be assessed and approved. See "From need to competition".
Contract management
In Contracts you gather the agreements the organization has. You can create a contract, fill in the fields, attach documents and, if the organization has access to e-signing, send it for signing. An awarded procurement can become a contract. On the home page, Agreements expiring shows the agreements that expire in the next year. Notifications remind you of dates on the contract, such as start, end, renewal and options, and admins and owners decide which dates you are notified about. See "The contract from signing to expiry" and "The notifications you receive".
Suppliers
As a supplier, you are invited to submit a bid on a procurement. In SourceMagnet you answer the invitation, submit the bid and follow the result. Your menu has Find procurements, My bids, My invitations and My contributions, and the home page is headed Find your next opportunity. See "How SourceMagnet works for suppliers" and "Respond to an invitation". How to get started the first time is described in "Log in for the first time".
Where you begin
The home page in SourceMagnet is called Overview. For a buyer it has the heading What will you work on today? and the shortcuts Start sourcing event, Assess need and Active agreements. The menu is not the same for everyone, and it depends on whether the organization buys or supplies, what the organization has access to and your role. See "How SourceMagnet is put together".
