How to find your way around the new design

New design, new menu, cannot find, where is it, navigation, the layout has changed.

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

SourceMagnet got a new design over the weekend of 4 to 6 September. Nothing has been deleted. Procurements, contracts, documents and projects came across with the same content. What changed is where things sit.

The menu moved from the top to the left

The menus that ran across the top now sit down the left-hand side, in sections you can fold away.

The procurement shows stage and tabs

At the top of the procurement sits a numbered bar showing where you are. Below it are the tabs Request, Qualification, Bids, Evaluation, Award, Communication, Tasks and Team. Questions and answers from suppliers sit under Communication.

The stage bar and tab row on a procurement

For public-sector buyers

The menu entries read Announced and Award and standstill, and the stage bar has its own Standstill step. The criteria bids are scored against are called Award criteria.

For private businesses

The menu entries read Invitations sent and Award, and the criteria are called Evaluation requirements. When you create a procurement you now choose what it asks for. Everything is optional.

The options Products, Minimum requirements and Evaluation requirements, all switched off

Switch an option on and the wizard gains a step for it.

Products appears if your organisation has access to products.

⚠️ Important

You can change the options for as long as the procurement is a draft. Switching off Minimum requirements or Evaluation requirements removes the content you have added there.

Templates and the requirement library

Administrators set up templates under LibraryTemplates, and reusable requirements under Requirement library. Library is visible to administrators only, but everyone can use the templates: pick one with Apply template in the wizard.
