Inside a contract

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

This article shows you as a contract owner how to find your way around a contract and follow it up.

The tabs

Open a contract from the list. The content is split into tabs:

Details holds the facts about the agreement: counterparty, dates, value and who is responsible.

Documents holds the files. You add new ones with Upload documents or by dragging them in, and get them out again with Download.

Reminders alert you before something happens.

Tasks are things to be done, with a Responsible and a Due date.

Sharing controls who can see the contract.

Dialog with counterparty is messages to the other party.

Set a reminder

Go to Reminders and select New reminder. You choose the Type, who gets it under Receivers, and when it should arrive.

💡 Tip: Set the reminder early enough that you can still act. If an agreement must be terminated three months before expiry, a warning two months out helps little.

Add a task

Under Tasks select New task, set the Responsible and the Due date. The task follows the contract, so it does not get lost when someone changes job.
