Questions and communication with suppliers

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

This article shows you as a buyer how to answer questions from suppliers while the procurement is out.

Find the questions

Open the procurement and select Communication. That is where all the Questions that have come in are kept.

Answer

Write the answer next to the question. You have two choices: Send private answer goes only to the supplier who asked, while Anonymize and send to all shares it with every tenderer without revealing who asked. The question is then marked Sent to all tenderers.

💡 Tip: If the question concerns something everyone should know, share it with all. An answer only one supplier has received can give them an advantage. The anonymisation lets you share without revealing who asked.

Keep the history

With Download Q&A report you get everything in one file. That is useful when the procurement is summed up, or if someone later asks why something was answered the way it was.

💡 Tip: If the same question keeps coming, it is often a sign that the tender documents are unclear on that point. Then it is better to update the document than to answer again.
