After the deadline: clarifications, negotiation and outcome

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

This article shows you as a supplier what happens after you have submitted, and where to follow along.

Follow your bids

Under My bids you see everything you have submitted. The tabs All, Submitted and Awarded sort them by how far they have got.

The table shows the procurement, the buyer, the status and the deadline.

Clarifications

The buyer can ask for clarifications if something in the bid is unclear. You are notified, and answer inside the procurement.

ℹ️ Note: A clarification is not an opportunity to improve the bid. It should tidy up something already there, not add anything new.

The outcome

When the buyer has decided, everyone who submitted is notified at the same time. The message says who won and why.

If you did not win, the reasoning is worth reading. It tells you what separated the bids, and is the best basis you get for next time.

💡 Tip: If you ask to see the documents, do it early. After the award there is a period before the contract can be signed, and it is shorter than many expect.
