This article shows you as an organization administrator how to fit contracts to the way you work.
Where to find it
It sits under Settings in the menu at the bottom, spread across several tabs. The contract tabs are only shown to organization administrators with contract access, and Document Templates requires the templates module.
Contract types
Under Contract Types you set up which kinds of agreement you have, for example framework agreements or one-off purchases. You add new ones with New type.
Custom contract fields
If you need to record something the solution does not already have, you create a field under Custom Contract Fields. The field then becomes available on contracts. Text, email, phone, URL, tag, choice and multi-choice fields can also be searched and filtered in the contract list.
💡 Tip: Create a custom field when the information needs to be findable across agreements. If it only belongs in one place, it fits better in the description.
Internal parties
Under Internal Parties you register units in your own business that can appear as a party on a contract. That helps when several companies or departments enter agreements separately.
Document templates and standard terms
Document Templates are ready-made documents you reuse. Standard terms is one set of terms for your whole organization. Suppliers must read and accept it before they can submit a bid; on their side it is called Buyer's terms and conditions, and until they tick I have read and understood the conditions they cannot deliver. It is not added to contracts.
