The company register: find and track suppliers

Written by Fredrik Muri Slettestøl

This article shows you as a buyer how to use the company register to find and keep track of suppliers.

Find your way around the register

Go to Market and choose Companies. The list shows every company your organization can see, sorted alphabetically, with country and name. The counter at the top tells you how many matches you have.

Two kinds of company

A company marked as registered has its own account in SourceMagnet. It maintains its own profile, and can receive invitations, ask questions and submit bids digitally.

A company created by your organization is an entry you made yourselves because you needed it in a procurement or a contract. It has no account, and the details are the ones you entered.

ℹ️ Note: The difference is worth knowing before you invite anyone. A company you created yourselves does not automatically get access to the competition: it has to be invited by email, and somebody there has to create an account in order to submit.

Invite a company in

If you have the right to manage supplier invites, Invites shows who you have invited to create an account, and how far they have got. This is where you follow up a supplier who has not registered yet.

Open a company profile

Choose a company to see its profile: presentation, contact persons and company details, together with the contracts you hold with them. A company you created yourselves has no presentation — only what you entered.
